Liposomal BioActive B Complex™ is a uniquely bioavailable formula that delivers B vitamins directly into the cells for optimal absorption. All the essential B vitamins are in their biologically active forms, which are better utilised by the body than inactive synthetic forms commonly found in supplements.

Our soy-free liposomes are made from non-GMO sunflower oil. They move easily through the intestinal wall into the bloodstream, and deliver the B vitamins directly inside the cells as their phospholipid molecules naturally merge with the cell wall. The high uptake level of our B Complex vitamins means no wasted, unabsorbed supplement ingredient is left for your body to detoxify.

We need B Complex vitamins to sustain energy levels and to support the body’s response to stress via the adrenal glands and nervous system. They are essential for healthy hormone and mood regulation, and a balanced immune response. B vitamins are also important for digestion, absorption and as co-factors in various metabolic pathways involving other nutrients.

The methylation cycle, occurring in every cell of the body, is dependent on the active forms of folate and B12. This cycle regulates energy production, cell health, gene expression, detoxification, stress response, nerve function and immunity. However, common genetic variations in 30-50% of the population (MTHFR gene) mean the common forms of B vitamin supplements can’t be converted in the body to their active methylated forms. This disrupts the methylation pathways causing a cascade of health effects that can manifest in many different symptoms.

The B vitamins are fundamental to our wellbeing throughout life, beginning before we are even conceived. During pre-conception and pregnancy it’s vital for both parents, and the baby you’re planning to make, that certain B vitamins are available in sufficient quantities. Vitamins B6, folate (B9) and B12 are all required for healthy nervous system development in the baby, as well as conditions in the mother affecting a healthy delivery. Vitamins B1 and B2 are also needed for optimal development of the baby’s brain, bones and muscles.

The B vitamins work in close relationship with each other, which is why they are grouped together in a complex and need to be taken together to be effective. This is also important because taking a supplement of an individual B vitamin can mask symptoms of a deficiency in another B vitamin.

Liposomal BioActive B Complex™ is the first supplement to combine biologically active forms of all eight essential B vitamins, including methylated folate and B12, in a liquid liposomal carrier.

BioBalance has 95% of its spherical liposomes between 50 nm and 420 nm (range of 370 nm) while another company has a 95 % distribution of 50 nm to 690 nm (range of 640 nm). Furthermore, BioBalance also has higher concentrations of liposomes per dose. This illustrates the tight manufacturing control and stability of the BioBalance liposomes. All BioBalance Liposomal products adhere to this strict size distribution to ensure nutrient encapsulation for optimal performance. These size distribution charts are an example of how not all liposomal products are the same.

Is it okay to keep using the product beyond 40 days?

BioBalance Liposomal B Complex retains its potency at least until the batch expiry date printed on the bottle, and likely for some time beyond that. The reason we recommend using the product within 40 days is because once it’s opened we can’t control the environment it’s in or how well its stored. If its left sitting on the kitchen bench, possibly with the cap open, then there is the possibility of microbial contamination from other substances in the kitchen, or of heat exposure from sunlight. These could cause instability because it is a natural product and B Vitamins are sensitive to heat and light. The best way to store this product is to make sure the lid is on tight, store it in the fridge.

Where do the B vitamins come from? Are they plant sourced?

B vitamins are made by fermentation processes involving micro-organisms. The only way to get vitamins from a natural source is by eating wholefoods that contain them in their natural state. B vitamins need to be synthesised in a laboratory to provide the required strength for supplements.

What’s so special about this product?

BioBalance Liposomal BioActive B Complex was specifically designed to address a very common problem (for 30 – 50% of people) who have a variation in the MTHFR gene which prevents them from metabolising folic acid, and some other synthetic forms of B vitamins commonly used in supplements and to fortify foods. Our Liposomal B Complex contains only the active form of each B vitamin, so anybody can absorb and utilise them well. This is particularly important for women during preconception and pregnancy, who need to supplement their diet with the active forms of folate and B12 which our product supplies. Also the liquid liposomal delivery system ensures optimal cellular absorption because it bypasses the digestive system and passes directly into the bloodstream. For this reason there is very little wastage and almost all the B vitamins are used by the body.

Would you recommend taking this product at night instead of in the morning? Would this still be effective or is it preferable to take B vitamins during the day?

B Complex vitamins are best taken during the day and around mealtimes to maximise their nutritional benefits. You can take it once a day with your evening meal.

I get an extreme flushing reaction about 3-5 minutes after taking this product. Is that normal?

Flushing can be a common reaction when taking the vitamin B3 (known as the niacin flush). A niacin flush is a short-lived reaction but can be alarming if you aren’t expecting it. A niacin flush can feel hot, itchy and there can be a rash. It doesn’t last for long. In order to prevent this from occurring, start on a low dose of the Liposomal BioActive B Complex.

Does Liposomal B contain yeast?

Our proprietary blend of B complex vitamins does not contain yeast. It contains only specific active forms of B vitamins within lipid spheres, plus water, natural flavouring and a small amount of potassium sorbate as preservative. This product has been specially formulated to provide bioavailable nutrients to people who have difficulty absorbing and utilising other forms of B vitamin supplements.

I have read that vitamin C is better absorbed when it’s taken with bioflavonoids and am wondering how this compares?

It is often recommended to combine Vitamin C with bioflavonoids to increase absorption via the gastrointestinal tract. Liposomal delivery of nutrients bypasses the GI tract as the tiny liposomes are absorbed directly into the bloodstream after traversing the gut wall. This means vitamin C (or any other nutrient) in a liposome has much higher bioavailability than any other forms of supplement can achieve. BioBalance Liposomal Vitamin C will give you the best cellular uptake of vitamin C currently possible.

Our Liposomal BioActive B Complex was formulated specifically to achieve maximum bioavailability using only the active forms of B Complex vitamins that the body can utilise directly. It contains methylated folate and B12 for those who cannot metabolise the folic acid and cyanocobalamin forms more commonly used in B vitamin supplements. (This is a large percentage of the population).

What type of flavours are there in the Liposomal BioActive B Complex?

As in all our liposomal products, the natural flavours are aromatic extracts from lemon, lime, citrus, pineapple, and a tropical fruit blend. These products contain no artificial sweeteners, no MSG, no alcohol, no GMOs, nothing artificial or synthetic.
People with fruit and berry sensitivities are commonly not bothered by the flavours as they are aromatics which are a different constituent than the allergenic compounds. However, we advise the precautionary principle if you have known berry allergies.

Does Liposomal B contain any gluten, soya or dairy ?

You can be assured our B Complex contains no gluten, soy or dairy. Our high-quality liposomes are made from non-GMO sunflower oil.

I’m just about to order my third bottle of this Liposomal B Complex formula. I add this and the Vitamin C to a small glass of organic pomegranate juice, and it is delicious. I have gut issues, as well as an autoimmune disorder, so the liposomal formula allows me to uptake the Vitamin B without first having to digest a tablet or capsule. My energy levels have improved and I’m sleeping deeper and waking more refreshed. I’m taking other supplements as well, so this is just part of an overall plan – not a miracle worker…
